Dr. Heather Hong
Dr. Heather Hong was born and raised in Southern California
where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in physiological
science from the University of California, Los Angeles. She then
earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University
of California, San Francisco. During her time in the Bay area,
she was the director of the Community Dental Clinic which
serves homeless, members of substance recovery programs
and victims of abuse. She later received her specialty training in
periodontology and Master of Medical Sciences degree in oral
biology from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. While
living in Boston, Dr. Hong conducted research in the area of
bone regeneration in preparation for dental implants.
She is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Heather is an active member of the American Academy of
Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration and the
Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Heather is fluent
in Mandarin and Cantonese. She and her husband Michael love
to hike, cook, and watch movies.
